Clinical Legal Aid Cell
Legal aid is a provision of assistance to people who are unable to afford legal representation and access to the court system. clinical legal aid cell of Department of Law provides Clinical Legal Education and social-legal services to the needy and illitrate segments of the society. It is significance in developing the perception, skills, and attitudes of law scholars. On 26th November 2018 justice Ubaid ( Kerala High Court Judge) inagurated the Department Legal aid cell.
purposes:
- Extend legal aid to poor and needy segments of society
- Provide legal aid and advice at much lower cost
- Excellent means of teaching professional responsibility
- Provide an ideal platform for student to learn practical skills
- Effective instruments for community education
- Improve value and reputation of legal profession
CO-ORDINATORS
Legal Aid Centre is comprising of 2 faculty members and 10 students. Mrs. fathima Farhath (Assistant Professor) and Mrs Shruthy Bahuleyan( Assistant Professors) from teachers side co-ordinating the department Legal aid cell. Anaswara (4th sem LLm student),Nihal Hamsakutty, Judy Ann Thomas( 2nd sem LLm students) are the student co-ordinators of the cell.

Our aim is to spread legal awareness among students and people at large. we endeavours to achieve the target by conducting legal literacy camps, Seminars, Legal Counselling, public Speaking, Poster Making, , linking with Legal Services Authorities. other opportunities we are provide:
